I-STAT ACT Certification Resources
The ACT I-STAT certification is necessary to obtain a provider ID to run intraoperative ACT tests. This certification is governed by the Point of Care testing office. Users must do an initial certification, annual recertifications, and 6 month interval renewals. If your certification expires, you will need to start over with the initial certification. Sharing your provider ID is not encouraged.
Initial Certification (new user or certification has expired):
- Print and complete Initial ACT Competency Test
- Answers are in I-STAT ACT Training PowerPoint or Quick Tips for I-STAT Training
- Bring completed test to Point of Care (POC) office for hands on practicum portion
- Location: Clinical Lab H1520 (Window F14 at Pavilion F)
- With construction, access to this corridor has changed. When in doubt, go to the clinical lab receiving window on F1 and ask for the POC office.
- Hours: Tuesday 8am-10am and Thursday 2:30pm-4:30pm. Can call ahead on other days to see if they are available as well.
- Location: Clinical Lab H1520 (Window F14 at Pavilion F)
6 month Renewal Certification:
- Print and complete I-STAT 6 month Competency Test
- Answers are in I-STAT ACT Training PowerPoint or Quick Tips for I-STAT Training
